About the Role:

As a Senior Business Consultant within our Delivery Function, you will play a pivotal role in defining project scope and implementing new customer journeys. You will act as a trusted advisor to our clients, helping them understand the strategic benefits and value of adopting our standard product functionality.

About you:

• Experience: At least 5 years of proven experience working as a Business Analyst, Business Consultant, Product Analyst, or Mortgage Consultant.

• Domain Expertise: A strong, practical understanding of the UK mortgage market.

• Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the confidence to present to and negotiate with external stakeholders.

• Working Style: Highly adaptable—comfortable driving work independently while also being a collaborative, supportive team player who contributes to our internal community.

• Mindset: Inquisitive by nature, with a genuine passion for driving better customer outcomes and exploring how things work.

• Tech-Forward (Preferred): Demonstrable experience using AI tools or methodologies in previous roles to improve efficiency, analysis, or project outcomes.

What will you be doing?

• Lead Requirements Gathering: Independently lead work streams to elicit business requirements and manage change requests with minimal supervision.

• Master the Product: Develop a deep understanding of end-to-end journeys and features for chosen products (e.g., UK Mortgages, Equity Release), including how different clients configure and utilize them.

• Deliver Client Presentations: Conduct system demos and presentations that highlight product features and benefits, directly tying them back to the client’s business case and responding to complex questions.

• Influence Stakeholders: Guide and influence client stakeholders in their decision-making regarding project scope, requirement definitions, and change management.

• Estimate & Plan: Accurately estimate the analysis effort required to deliver implementation plans, documenting clear rationales and assumptions for your estimations.

• Build Client Trust: Cultivate strong relationships with clients by understanding their operational realities, application journeys, and how they set up functions like underwriting.

• Control Scope & Commercials: Rigorously control scope and requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring you understand the commercial impact of any proposed changes.

• Collaborate Internally: Work seamlessly with internal Developers, Testers, and Project Managers to ensure successful delivery.

• Solve Problems: Apply curiosity and self-sufficiency to overcome roadblocks, while knowing exactly when to escalate issues.
